After an on-site inspection of the Farglory Taipei Dome by Taipei City Construction Management Office officials on May 14, 2015, the Taipei Dome main structure is found to have 81 breaches of non-compliance with the authorized construction plan. Following work suspension orders by Taipei City government on May 20, 2015, the Department of Urban Development, Taipei City, has conducted talks with the contractor Obayashi Corporation and supervising architect to clarify responsibilities. Farglory Dome has made an official reply, stating that of the 81 breaches, there were 2 areas that are built in accordance to construction plans. After verification confirmed the 2 areas, located within the Hotel Section, have made official design changes on May 3, 2013, Taipei City Construction Management agreed to amendment to 79 Areas of Non-Compliance.Taipei City Construction Management Director, Chen Huang-Cheng expresses that although the case is now amended to 79 breaches of non-compliance, the work suspension order of Department of Urban Development Document No. 10462820901 will continue to be in effect. Besides work that is reported beforehand and authorized, other operations are to remain suspended.Regarding the administrative errors, Taipei City Construction Management will conduct a Review Panel Committee to assess the administrative responsibilities of the related personnel. The Department of Urban Development has also requested the Construction Management to establish a verification SOP for the management of this project which will be reported in the department meetings and to promote better management of the project.
