Public Safety Inspection Competition Taipei City Ranked No. 1 in the Country

This is the effort of all relevant departments in public safety of Taipei City Government and result of its long term focus on public safety. Kao further explained Taipei City Government has not merely implemented the public safety inspection reporting system which is a pioneer move in the country; as of today (in 2014) onwards, any residential building that is more than 11-story buildings would be included in the scope of public safety inspection to foster a safe living environment for the residents whose lives and property also safe-guarded. Construction Management Office also expressed they are carrying out a public safety inspection on various department stores during their anniversary sales. The usual appeal is for department stores to self-manage public safety requirements and its maintenance to secure a good shopping environment. If in violation of public safety, in addition to severe legal punishment with immediate request for improvement, the office will also publish a list of violators. We hope to stress self-management on businesses owners. Consumers are also encouraged to take the initiative to report any misconduct - jointly safeguard our public safety.
