2024 Summer Art and Sports Event: A Community-Wide Disaster Prevention and Social Safety Network Promotion Carnival

The 3rd District HQs of Taipei City Fire Department, in collaboration with the Neihu District Office, will jointly host the "2024 Summer Art and Sports Event: A Community-Wide Disaster Prevention and Social Safety Network Promotion Carnival " on Saturday, August 24th, at 4 pm in Dahu Park. We welcome all residents to join us in learning proper fire prevention and disaster response knowledge, enhancing physical fitness, strengthening community bonds, and creating a safe and vibrant environment.

The disaster prevention booths include "How Much Do You Know About Fire Knowledge", "Life-saving Three Treasure Apps Download", "Fire Feng Shui Master", "Residential Fire Alarm", and other interactive games. These activities are designed for adults and children to enjoy and learn together on the sunlit grass of Dahu Park, fostering physical fitness in a fun environment. Additionally, there will be a rich lineup of stage performances, and firefighters will host disaster prevention quizzes with prizes to reinforce disaster awareness among participants. We invite everyone to join us enthusiastically!

For many years, the fire department has been continuously innovating, creating various disaster preparedness e-books to provide citizens with learning materials on disaster prevention. These include the "Disaster Preparedness Taipei" manual, as well as easy-to-read booklets such as "What to Do When an Earthquake Strikes," "What to Do When a Typhoon Strikes," "What to Do When a Fire Breaks Out (Fire Prevention Guide)," and "What to Do When a Fire Breaks Out (Evacuation and Escape Guide)." Everyone is encouraged to download these materials during this event to collectively raise awareness and create a safer community for disaster prevention among the public.

Additionally, as lithium batteries have become the main power storage devices in recent years for mobile devices, electronic products, and electric vehicles, their usage rate has increased significantly. Therefore, the Taipei City Fire Department specifically reminds the public that lithium battery products should be purchased with a qualified inspection label and used according to product instructions to avoid excessive charging, impact, or crushing to ensure safety.

We invite citizens to join us for this event in Dahu Park and bring home valuable disaster prevention knowledge.
