6. CMO Explains Truth for Next TV’s News
The Construction Management Office (CMO) explains the truth to clarify Next TV’s news reports which did not tally with the facts in their interviews with CMO.CMO said that CMO replied questions of Next TV’s journalist for four peccant buildings at No.30, Sec. 4, Zhongxiao E. Rd. on Jan. 3: (1) the cases for three peccant buildings which had been dismantled by owners were closed in January 2011; (2) the case for the fourth peccant building was ongoing according to the record in May 2011. When the journalist continued his questions for applications of ads on all floors of the fourth peccant building, CMO’s gave answers as follows: (1) the application for ads on the 1st floor was submitted but others from the 2nd to the 11th floor under investigation; (2) the business operator should make a post-approval application for any illegal ad from the 2nd to the 11th floor or remove them; (3) CMO may enforce removal. Next TV’s news reports for CMO’s statements, however, were “ads from the 2nd to the 11th floor as components of the fourth peccant building which were verified in May 2011 needed to be removed in the event of ads failing in rechecks according to CMO.” CMO confirmed those ads from the 2nd to the 11th floor which were eligible should be separated from the fourth peccant building and the lawyer engaged by the building owner protested CMO’s impropriate statements induced by Next TV’s myths.CMO had issued the news release, which explained the journalist of Next TV misunderstood CMO’s statements, and asked Next TV to correct their news reports.
