To Put an End to Violation of Industrial Resident Development, Developers are Fined for such Violations by the Taipei City Government
In order to put an end to the violations of Industrial Resident Development in Neihu Land Readjustment Area Term 5 and NanKang Industrial Park, Taipei City Construction Management Office conducted an overall inspection over the 10 previously fined cases yesterday (22). The result indicated that nine had passed the improvement deadline with no improvement measures; each of the developers was given an aggravated penalty based on the number of floors of the development project.According to the Construction Management Office, the buildings located in Neihu Land Readjustment Area Term 5 and NanKang Industrial Park must comply with the conclusion of the Urban Design Review to concentrate on the facility space such as public toilets in the center of each floor to prevent future alterations for residential uses. However, the developers’ further alterations as second-phase construction after obtaining the building use permits clearly violated the principles of the laws and regulations without complying with the legal occupancies of the constructions and facilities. Therefore, the violations of such conduct was fined NTD $300,000 and notified for improvements by the deadline of Oct. 18th.The Taipei City Construction Management Office conducted an overall inspection over the 10 previously fined cases yesterday (22). The result indicated that except for Project “VictorJia Li” in Neihu Term 5,all cases had passed the improvement deadline with no improvement measures. Considering the fact that the developers were still taking chances and intended to obtain illegal profits from buyers by tempting them into illegal alterations, each of the developers was given an aggravated penalty of NTD$300,000 for each floor of the development project and notified for improvements along with the building management committees within 3 months after notice; otherwise, they shall be fined again. The Taipei City Construction Management Office suggests that developers should no longer obtain such illegal profit by constructing and selling factories or office buildings in any illegal manner and instead work on improvement measures to enable legitimate projects along with the building management committees.
