After the practice of "health examination for the old houses" and "health examination for urban regeneration," Taipei City promotes free service for "property management health examination," opened for application from October 15 to December 31 2014. If the management committee needs free health examination, please make application as soon as possible. Department of Urban Development suggests that this is a comprehensive health examination for community management. It can not only understand the health conditions of the community, but thorough the judgment of professional doctors, the residents can understand the actual operation of their own community as well as build a good and safe community. The examination can be "self health examination" or "professional health examination." Self health examination is a spontaneous examination. Taipei City Construction Management Office website provides a form for self health examination for the community. The community can download it and examine itself according to the contents of the form, for the reference of community property management. Professional health examination provides professional platform for property management health examination. After the registered apartment management organization makes application, Department of Urban Development would commission a health examination group composed of professionals such as architects, mechanical and electric technicians, and superintendents. The report and result of the health examination is for the community's reference only and will not be opened publically.The application for free professional health examination can be made during October 15 to December 31 2014. The number of the accepted cased is estimated to be 100 cases (60 cases of communities with self-hired superintendents; 40 cases of communities managed by property management companies). They are handled according to the order of the application. Registered apartments and mansions in Taipei City are qualified for the application. The chairperson or administrator of the management committee can make application with the application form to the counter of Apartment Buildings Section, Taipei City Construction Management Office. The apartments listed as deluxe residential buildings for additional house tax by Revenue Service Office are not applicable for the application for professional health examination.Professional health examination includes three parts: (1) operation of the administrative organization, including the convening of all kinds of meetings, condominium regulations, operation of management committee, and financial management, etc. (2) Equipment maintenance, including equipment examination and maintenance, public space management, promotion of building environment quality, etc. (3) Community construction, including community activities, developmental projects, etc.For details, please check out the website of Taipei City Construction Management Office, or call at (02)2725-8388, the counter for duty, Apartment Buildings Section, Taipei City Construction Management Office.
