The maximum grant amount is $ 1.07 million. Replacing access-free elevator car may come incur the maximum subsidy of $ 700,000.Director of the Construction Management Office,Chang Kang-Wei, stated that in order to encourage community residents to improve access-free facilities through co-funding, the department especially announced and amended the "improvement cost subsidy execution program for access-free facilities in Taipei City’s existing housing." The newly added "planning and design cost" subsidy makes it easy for community to commission registered architects or interior decoration professional design and technical personnel with access-free facilities survey qualification to plan and design facilities. Depending on the quantity of items improved, subsidies of NT$30000-60000 will be granted once.Besides, the department took into consideration that improvement projects may require consensus from most households within the community, or fundraising for improvements may require an extended period, making it difficult to complete improvement at once. Requirements were relaxed to allow the submission of "classification improvement plan in stages." The longest period of improvement was not to be more than four years in principle, and grand funding applications as well as completion inspections were allowed in stages. On the home page of the Construction Management Office, a dedicated "buildings access-free" advocacy area has been set up, where "common Q & A on access-free facilities", "access-free facilities fee subsidy application", etc., is displayed.
