To inspect construction company registration and the practices of full-time engineering personnel
1. In order to improve the conditions of the construction industry, to ensure the quality of construction projects and to enforce the person-and-license policy for full-time engineering personnel, Construction Management Office (CMO) conducts construction company inspections according to the Construction Industry Act and Taipei City Construction Company Sampling Inspection Regulations.2. Two sampling inspections on about 300 construction companies are conducted every year. A total of 260 construction companies were inspected during the first inspection of 2010. The contents of inspection included assigning personnel to construction companies to check if the registration address is identical to the location of the company, to examine if the full-time engineering personnel of these construction companies can capture the actual progress of the projects undertaken and to promote the related amended laws and regulations in order to minimize the probability of violations.3. From 2007 to 2009, the violation charging rate was 12.8%, 8.2% and 4.3% respectively, suggesting that the violation rate tends to reduce significantly.
