On August 8, 2025, the TCG DOF announced a city-owned land is leased by tender located at land lot 580 in section 1 of Shuanglian, Datong District, Taipei City. The deadline for bid submission is 5:00 p.m. on September 8, 2025, and the bid opening will take place at 2:00 p.m. on September 9, 2025. Sincerely welcomes bids. The DOF explained that this is the first city-owned land has been revitalized as an electric vehicle charging and swapping station, in response to Taipei City's net-zero carbon emissions policy. This is a significant step forward in promoting low-carbon transportation. The land, with convenient transportation and a highly developer business area, provide effectively solution to solve many electric vehicle owners’ "charging anxiety" , particularly the inconvenience of installing indoor charging stations in residential communities. This innovative initiative not only creates new value for city-owned assets ,but also builds a comprehensive city-wide charging network through the gradual expansion of charging and swapping stations. This initiative continues to advance the vision of "Sustainable and Inclusive Capital of Hope", achieving a win-win situation for all parties. The DOF further explained that the minimum annual rental bid for this project is set at NT$690,347, with a five-year lease term, renewable for an additional three years. Bidders must be businesses registered under the parking lot and energy technology services sectors.
