Taipei City Government Receives Excellence Award in the 2025 National Sewerage Confined Space Entry and Exit Operations Evaluation: Sewerage Systems Office and Partner Contractor Achieve Third Consecutive Win
To strengthen workplace safety practices in sewerage engineering and improve site safety standards, the National Land Management Agency of the Ministry of the Interior held the 2025 National Sewerage Confined Space Entry and Exit Operations Evaluation Award Ceremony on July 3 at the Executive Yuan’s Xinzhuang Joint Office Tower. Taipei City Government received the Excellence Award, with the Sewerage Systems Office (SSO) and its partner contractor, No Dig Co., Ltd., earning recognition from the evaluation committee. The team not only followed standard operating procedures in its demonstration but also showcased proficiency in entry and exit techniques. Additional safety measures included the use of ductless axial fans for efficient ventilation, mobile devices for real-time monitoring of personnel inside the manholes, and the installation of proper transition zones and pedestrian passageways to ensure traffic safety. These enhancements earned the judges’ recognition and secured the award. Looking ahead, the SSO will continue to promote and enforce occupational safety measures while encouraging contractors to leverage technology in disaster prevention. The goal remains clear: achieving zero workplace accidents and ensuring the highest standards of occupational safety and health.
