TCG DOF announces the first city-owned land for lease by tender to an electric vehicle charging and swapping station is successfully bid for rent. The DOF use city-owned land efficiently and solve many electric vehicle owner’s charging anxiety.
TCG DOF first bid for city-owned land to be used as an electric vehicle charging and swapping station was opened at 2:00 p.m. on September 9, 2025, Star Charger Co., Ltd. won the bid with the highest annual rent of NT$1,583,988, more than minimum annual rental bid as 129% and plan to sign a lease contract by September 30, 2025. DOF explained that this is the first city-owned land has been revitalized into an electric vehicle charging and swapping station, located at land lot 580 in section 1 of Shuanglian, Datong District, Taipei City. The land’s area is 149 square meters, with convenient transportation and a highly developer business area, totally 4 bidders were attracted to bid, indicating an increase in demand for electric vehicle charging and swapping station. The first case can be completed successfully, not only realizes Taipei City’s net-zero carbon emissions policy, but also provides a new direction for revitalization of small areas of city-owned land. DOF further explained that continue to release more city-owned land to contribute to Public-Private Partnership, builds better city-wide charging network through the gradual expansion of charging and swapping station. This is an important step forward in promoting low-carbon transportation, this initiative continues to advance the vision of "Sustainable and Inclusive Capital of Hope", achieving a win-win situation for all parties.
